Our Wheelabrator (blasting machine) and environmentally controlled paint booth allow us to perform a critical step in the fabrication & construction process, in house under strict quality control guidelines.

Wheelabrator

• Our Wheelabrator allows us to blast each piece of plate material to a blast profile that exceeds all required standards for both interior and exterior surfaces
• Blasting removes mill scale, providing optimal surfaces for exterior field painting and reduces the need for interior blasting in the field

Environmentally Controlled Paint Booth

• Our in house environmentally controlled paint booth provides ideal conditions for priming plate material, with no delays due to weather conditions. Plate material arrives on site protected with primer and ready for exterior paint and interior coatings systems
• In house blasting & priming capabilities contribute to tighter schedules, efficiency in construction and overall lower costs

Field Blasting & Coatings

We provide field blasting &coating services with our own painting division. Exterior tank painting can be performed of tank fabrication and construction, or as part of a maintenance and repair projects.

Tank painting projects are planned and executed using the highest quality coatings systems as dictated by the tank’s purpose, location and contents.

AL-AYASH EST’s vast experience and knowledge of tank materials, construction and performance enables us to provide skilled repair, modification and maintenance services that help you keep your tanks in top condition, with minimal disruption to your business.

All work is performed in accordance with API-650 and ASME standards under the supervision of experienced foremen.

Repairs

Our expertise includes:

• Shell Inserts – removing and replacing damaged or corroded tank shell plates.
• Modifications – modifying and replacing manways, nozzles, associated piping, ladder platforms and other tank appurtenances.
• Bottom Replacements – removing and replacing of bottoms, including contaminated soils.
• Roof Replacements – removing and replacing of damaged or corroded roof structure including internal and external floating roofs, supplying and installing floating roof seals.
• Adding nozzles or other fittings
• Floating roof seal replacements

Our staff is willing to meet with your maintenance manages to consult with you on your maintenance requirements. We will develop a plan to provide your ongoing maintenance, or to conduct repairs to your tanks. We offer maintenance programs and spot repair services, with cost-plus, unit price or lump sum price plans.

We also have an engineering team ready to provide engineering services should your repair or modification require it. Fully equipped fabricating facilities and extensive inventories of steel plate, pipe and assorted fittings allow us to respond quickly and cost effectively to any repair and modification project.

 Modifications

We also offer flexible maintenance plans tailored to specific needs.

Al-Ayash Steel offers maintenance services and on-site repair for all API above-ground storage tanks per API 650.
